Great 4 mile total trail. We were advised not to take this trail in the heat of the day as it can be brutal so go before 9 am or after 5 pm. We went shortly after 5 and we loved it as we could...More

Completed the trail in an hour and forty minutes due to the amount of stops made for photos. The trail is pretty easy, even through the uphill sandy sections at the end. The view is brilliant - we went at 8am so very few people,...More

Do not underestimate this walk! Although it was not as hot as we expected we still drank about 6 litres of water between the three of us! You also get a false sense of nearly there when you are 2/3rds around and the worst is...More

Very nice, go for it with good shoes, water and camera. Easy walk and if you want to enjoy it , it takes at least 2 hours Pay attention to snakes.. :)

Nice shortish walk, best to do after 5pm out of the heat. Trail signs seemed to drop off towards the end so we went slightly off course

This drive was an experience! Get close to the majestic scenery. Rough going, so look out for dips and pits. There were pull-outs along the way, with some vendors

Beautiful way to experience sunrise across the valley! Trail was a challenge to locate at times but worth the effort. Ran out of time before we made it around the mitten but got close! Beautiful hike/walk! Take water and wear good hiking shoes. Just spectacular...More

Loved this walk. Mostly flat or undulating except for the beginning/end. We did it mid afternoon so it was very hot but still manageable. Take lots of water and cover up from the sun as there is hardly any shade.

Done this trail twice now. Last time we kinda rushed it but this time took a bit more time and enjoyed it a lot better. You get a better view and feeling of the area doing the walk. Not overly difficult on the loop, 3.3mls,...More

This is the only trail accessible without a Navajo guide. It goes into the valley and then loops around the East Mitten. I did it about 3 hours after sunrise. It was good, but would have been better in better light (and less heat).

It depends on temperature. There is no shade on this trail. We did at sunrise which was cooler, no one on trail and beautiful as sun hit the monuments.

Park anywhere in the lot where the various tours gather (or I think there is a small dirt parking area at the trailhead. The trailhead is just past where the dirt loop road into Monument Valley starts (this is just before... More

This is a great trail. I think doing part of the trail is good! Doing any trail, part or all, is good! It is sandy in a few parts. I hiked in trail running shoes and was fine. Enjoy your hike but please take plenty of water!!
