The walk is not so strenuous, it challenges but is fun. The sand does fill the shoes a bit! Although the 3.8 miles doesn't seem much, the sand makes it more physically demanding. Prepare for the walk and don't underestimate the heat. Fantastic to do...More

This hike was 4 miles long. It was very hot with no shade. Go prepared -- hat, sunscreen, lots of water. It ended up with a strenuous climb, so take a hiking stick if you need one.

Relatively easy hike, mostly level other than the hike up back to the trailhead on very sandy trail. No shade so come prepared. Otherwise, a beautiful hike so close to the mittens.

You should always respect a wild horse’s space. Don’t approach them or try to pet them. Dangerous for you terrifying for them.
