Tubing was lots of fun. We booked our tickets online and went when it wasn't so busy. We did about 24 runs in a two hour period! Best to go on a weeknight and avoid the weekends, especially if you are staying in the nearby...More

We went to Soldier Hollow to see the Ice Castles and tubing. Best if you obtain tickets ahead of time as both sell out spots. Lots of fun at both venues. It was fun to walk through the "castle" mazes of ice. Our grandson loved...More

We took a sleigh ride to the ice castles and the ice castles were amazing. I wish we could have gone in the evening while the castles are lit up but the occupation and reservations are usually sold out or limited. It was still beautiful...More

It is all man made and pretty amazing. There are slides that all ages can go down, but wearing jeans makes you go slower. It is better to wear snow pants. It is fun to walk through the castle and see the many different parts...More

Tubing was for sure fun, but just know you will be paying resort prices for the activity. When getting our tags, there was no clear line to wait in, just a mass of people trying to talk to cashier at the desk. I felt like...More

We went tubing with family including a 6 & 10 year old. They have great tubes that they pull you up the mountain on tow bar line. The tow bar was very efficient. The runs are over 200 yards long. Of the approximate 6 runs...More

There are a lot of tracks there but they are poorly marked. Some tracks from green became blue in the middle - and detour which should bring you to a green lane is closed. A number of tracks crosses are not marked at all and...More

Limited sales of tickets don't matter if the youths cut lines and the staff don't care. A two hour session gets about 4-5 rides. Not great value at all for a large family. This was just one of many disappointing things about this activity. During...More

We had two great days of x-c skiing here. The trails are well groomed and varied in terrain. Our 10 and 12 year olds took refresher lessons that were great. A note to the skiers: At 10:00, 12:00 and 2:00 the folks interested in tubing...More

I called the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center for you and spoke to a guest services representative. I've been told that the area could get snow as early as mid-December or as late as mid-January. It all depends on Mother Nature... More

The road to Soldier Hollow is two lane thru a rural area. It is generally flat with a slight uphill slant for the last half mile. I am sure it is kept free of snow and would be a safe easy drive.
