Didn't seem the same as the last time, some 10 years ago. Of course this time, it was mostly cloudy. And no animals at all. Actually, very few humans too. The view is great but it is basically one view.

We certainly understand how it got it's name. The cliffs are brilliant red and the view of the lake is breathtaking. We would love to return here and take advantage of the hiking, fishing and rafting.

This place is gorgeous. I'm surprised that it's not as crowded as Zion or Arches. Definitely a must-see if you love nature trails and spectacular views without all the crowds!

Incredible vistas. The views from red canyon lookout are breathtaking. Unfortunately the visitors center was closed for the season.

On an impulse, we pulled off to explore this scenic drive after seeing the road signs. Wide open spaces, desolate sagebrush, no traffic, no buildings.....just a hidden police car waiting to write a ticket. Worth the trip for the eventual scenery, but a speed limit...More
