Not exactly easy to find, the turn off to the site looks like a private driveway but isn't. Its a great loop hike, with a steady climb from the parking lot to where the ruins and petroglyphs are. we had a mild day, but in summer you had better be prepared for the heat and execution. go early in the... Heard about this interesting place from a friend and decided to check it out last week. We drove from St George following the directions given to us. To access the Anasazi Valley Trailhead and the Tempi’po’op trail, we took Exit 6 from Interstate 15 (the Bluff Street exit) and headed north. Turned left on Sunset Boulevard andfollowed it west through... More

This is an easy, 2.4-mile hike on packed gravel with a 300-ft. elevation gain. The views as you gently climb are amazing -- and they get better and better as you go higher. The remains of the Anasazi homestead are fascinating, and the petroglyphs are a wonder to behold! I'm amazed that this is free, and that people treat the... More

This is a moderate hike 2 miles uphill. There are numerous petroglyph. We hiked with a 5 year old and she did fine. Bring water because there is no shade.

Our much anticipated morning hike was delayed at different points due to unclear directions and signage on the location and then the hike itself ... tried to do prior research on the location and the hike and that was not completely clear either ... Started the hike and got into the archaelogical area where we ran into 2 different locals... More

Relatively easy and well-marked trail leads to petroglyphs on upper levels of river canyon walls. Please be considerate and don't deface! Truly amazing to see numbers of petroglyphs hundreds or thousands of years old carved into desert varnish on rock walls.

Thank M D
