Welcome sight!

Fun to see the reservoir in the desert. Although not huge, it was interesting to explore. Didn't have time to try fishing, but will next time. Nice facilities with paddle board... read more

Beautiful, fairly small, but full of nice bass and trout in a gorgeous setting. Year round enjoyment for the whole family. Quieter than nearby Sand Hollow Reservoir but plenty of perks to make up for it. Many unusual birds frequent the area like cormorants, eagles, hawks, gulls, ducks but not "too" many. Good camping facilities and really easy access. Great... More

I have camped at Quail creek several times now with my family and friends. We all love the campground and the water. We've kayaked and waded in the water there. The scenery is beautiful, and the weather of Southern Utah makes it possible to camp early and late in the year. For our growing family of boys, I am grateful... More

So after a few hours of slicing and dicing the dunes...it was time to just get cooled off with a swim in the lake...nothing but good times...

My wife and I moved to Hurricane seven years ago and Quail Creek State Park is our favorite destination. We hike there, kayak, and we fish there as well. The trout are plump and full of fight and we have caught and released many. You get early shade in the evenings and the place is nice and clean.

Like Sand Hallow, Quail Creek is a frequently visited spot. It is beautiful, the fishing is great and water sports are encouraged. They offer camping for over night stays. It is easily accessible as well.

Visited off-season so not much going on. Nice large reservoir that is open for water sports, a small supply store on the premises and great scenery all around

Nice man made lake. A good place to relax after the crowds at Zion National Park. Bring a picnic lunch and rent watercraft and enjoy the day. Besides the lake there are miles of sand dunes that can be explored. Rentals are available for that too.

Park is has beautiful view of numerous red cliff mountains. Swimming is a bit dicey w/ a great deal of uneven rocky bottom. Boating for skiing, tubing, fishing. Campers look happy. Some (small) areas are no dog allowed Of note: around/outside the park (95%+ of the lake), there is one free parking lot and shore access area and there are... More
