I had a phenomenal 3-day adventure with Get in the Wild. Chris (lead guide) worked with me for over a month to find excursions that I could join as a solo traveller during my vacation time. I did 3 single-day canyoneering excursions in Stairway to Heaven (Robber's Roost), the Goblin's Lair, and Hogwarts Canyon (North Wash). Chris and his assistants... More

My family of four booked with Christopher to visit the Goblin's Lair in Goblin Valley State Park. The kids (8 and 10) were initially enthusiastic about the prospect, but became panic-stricken in terror when they saw the 90' rappel into a dark chasm. Christopher patiently helped them to each overcome their fears and descend. Both kids now claim that this... More

I have now done 2 outings with Chris: a family canyoneering excursion and a 3 day canyoneering course. I was thoroughly impressed and happy with both. My older son is scared of heights and Chris handled him SO well; he let him skip a scary descent then gradually built his confidence so he did all the rest. On the course... More

My husband and I booked a canyoneering trip with Get In The Wild Adventures. Christopher and his assistant Tyler were fabulous. We had never done anything like this before and so we didn't know exactly what to expect. Safety was their first priority, which I really appreciated since there is obviously a need for that. They educated us along the... More

We just got back from a trip with Get in the Wild. It was one of the best adventure experiences we have had. Our boys 11 and 13 had fun, and learned much about canyoneering. The guides, Christopher and Mike, emphasized safety throughout the day and checked and re-checked our gear. We felt confident in their hands, and they talked... More

Familiar with the beauty of Southern Utah my boys, 12, and 14, took off for a quick reunion with nature one weekend. We had booked in advance to canyoneer with GITW for a day trip. Chris and his team did a skilled job assessing skills and working with a varied group to create a one of a kind adventure. We... More

We did a full day canyoneering experience at Dirty Devil/Robber's Roost and had a blast! This was our first time canyoneering, but Chris patiently helped us safely traverse the canyons. It was definitely tricky at times, but we are very glad we went. Great way to spend the day exploring some hidden gems in Southern Utah!

I took the 3 day Canyoneering course with Chris and Mike. I was new to the sport and new I wanted to get proper training to learn as much as I could to do this on my own. I liked how the course was geared and got both technical knowledge as well as how to gear my thinking when I... More
