Fantastic cabins, bathhouse, gear store, and restaurant (get the pizza!). I really enjoyed my stay here. It was a wonderful, peaceful place to return to after long satisfying days hiking in Grand-Staircase-Escalante NM. Booking was easy to do online and the staff communicates promptly. Price...More
I cannot say more emphatically that you would be best served to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. The female staff member in charge was sarcastic, unaccommodating, and rude to the point that I felt it was more appropriate NOT to buy a shirt from...More
Escalante has dozens of options for hikers. You can find all the maps and directions for an unbelievable experience in Utah. This place can be the perfect "headquarters" for you to explore some of the most beautiful trails in the world. The cabins are comfortable,...More
We did not use their guide service but asked questions about local canyons and directions. The were very helpful.
Also the gear shop is excellent and has what might be needed for local outdoor activities.
Finally, the book selection is outstanding. A must early stop.

A friend and I went on two guided fly fishing trips with Nathan Waggoner at Escalante Outfitters. Both trips were superb. He is not only a great fly fishing guide but he enriched us by his knowledge of geology, plants, and animals.
We found the Outfitters offer comfort, a welcoming friendliness, and great food. We pitched our tent for a quiet restful night, had a pizza for dinner, and enjoyed breakfast before continuing our Utah spring vacation.
We recommend the Outfitters and salute their care for travelers.
