Was planning a packrafting trip in the Hole-in-the-Rock area, and Caitie & Jim provided rentals, shuttle service and expert advice on where to go and what to expect. Due to their advice, we changed the length and location of our trip to be more reasonable for our group's capabilities. In the end, the trip that they helped us plan was... More

They provided a shuttle for my son and me on our Escalante River packraft trip, provided good beta in advance of the trip and lots of ideas for additional exploration of the area. Delightfully friendly folks. Will definitely recommend and use again

Well worth hiring Jim for the day to hike the hills and tour many slot canyons. We had never done this before so we wanted to hire a guide for this experience. He took us to an area outside of other tourist spots and we spent the day learning about the area and having a great time in the slot... More

This was my first time to Utah and was very excited to do as much hiking as possible. That being said, I have a husband and 3-1/2 yr old who like to hike but to a lot lesser degree than me. After talking with a couple other companies for guided hiking, I contacted Utah Canyon Outdoors. Jim was very helpful... More

Hi jrheineck28, Thank you for leaving us a review and I'm glad you had such a great experience on your slot canyon hike. At times it can be a challenge to mix groups on a tour and still make sure we address everyones interests and needs, this is one of the reasons we keep our groups so small. I'm happy... More

We did a day hike thru the slots in Escalante. Slots were a new hiking experience for us, Jim was the perfect guide. He was extremely knowledgeable on the area and helped us hike the slots with confidence. It was the most fun hike I have ever been on. I would highly recommend Jim an Utah Canyons Outdoors.

My husband and I traveled to Utah to for the first time to fulfill a life long desire of mine to hike in a slot canyon. We were experienced day-hikers. But, I didn’t think it would be wise to attempt this for the first time, on our own. I know that hiking in slot canyons can be a dangerous endeavor... More
