The drive between Bryce and Arches through these cliffs and over the forest top was spectacular (though I wouldn't want to do it in bad weather).

We entered Vermillion Cliffs from the south end (89A), so we only explored from the southwest corner. Bureau of Land Management could have done a better job marking some of the landmarks within the area, with maybe just a “1” at the first dirt road...More

Vermillion Cliffs is a relatively new National Monument that protects a section of land on the Arizona-Utah border. The monument is appropriately named, as the brilliant red color of the cliffs strikes you immediately. This monument contains some incredible hikes and attractions, including the world-renowned...More

Nice time hiking and Jeeping around Utah. The absence of crowds and the joy of nature made our day most pleasant!

Wow! What a stunning route from the Grand Canyon North Rim to either Page or Flagstaff. These cliffs are, to me, even more beautiful than Zion National Park. Words can’t describe it. Just take the route and see for yourself.

We drove 89A from Kanab, Utah to the Condor Viewing Area of Vermillion Cliffs. During this time of year, with Grand Canyon North Rim closed, 89A had little traffic. 89A climbs to almost 9000 feet; we went from temperatures in the 70s in Kanab to...More

How often have you seen a species that was virtually extinct, and is making a comeback? Our recent visit to Vermillion Cliffs allowed us to see 8 of these huge birds flying above the cliffs. It is a beautiful setting and an amazing sight.
