The Wave is a sandstone rock formation located near Big Water, Utah on the slopes of the Coyote Buttes, in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, on the Colorado Plateau. It is famous among hikers and photographers for its colorful, undulating forms, and the rugged, trackless hike required to reach it.

All the extra work in getting the permit makes this place more special. I highly recommend marking all the attractions coordinates on your phone before visiting - the Wave, Boneyard, Second wave, Sand Cove, etc. the coordinates make you visit much much more efficient.

It is a rather long walk back and forward. It is not to hilly, but your mum needs be able to walk for at least 4 hours
