Truly a sterile landscape. Algae coating shallow bottom next to beach. Tons of dead tumbleweed didn't add to the desolate dead feeling. People in atvs drive right through your campsite. Better places to camp than this in the gcnra.

This is hands down the most gorgeous place I have ever camped. Wide open with astounding views..I don't know what more we could possibly want. We had a hard time finding places that allow campfires and you definitely can here. We only wish we had brought an ATV or something similar because there were all kinds of awesome trails and... We came out here after hearing about how amazing the views were and we were not disappointed. It's also a great place to camp out and watch the sunrise.

Great to cool off in this desert climate. You need 4 wheel drive to get down near the water. Could take 15 - 30 min to walk from car park to the water. Many people camp overnight. They do charge per vehicle when you drive through the entrance.

Went on a partly sunny day. Not much of a crowd really. Calm and quiet. Great view. It was a free entry weekend and we only went for a visit so did not have to pay at the entrance. Loose sand roads might make driving back difficult.

Was here with friends- there are a lot of plus sides if you have never been to Powell- good camping, a taste of what the lake is like, beautiful scenery, close to Page and the Glen Canyon Dam. The down sides are- crowding, no privacy, maybe loud campers nearby, 10:00 curfew, distance to the bath rooms and with overcrowding they... More

You can access the beach from the main parking area, but it is a very long walk if it's hot. Because of the extreme temps, we actually drove down in our rental car and were very careful about where we were. We had no problem getting down to the Lake, but saw others stuck in deep sand. The beach was... More

We arrived after a stressful drive and our spirits sank when we saw how crowded the beach was; literally wall to wall RVs where you couldn't have got through to the lake even if you'd wanted to. We set up our tent camp as far to the right as we could, although couldn't get too far in our rented SUV... More

About 5 miles outside Page is this beautiful beach. It really is stunning and the lone rock stands proud in the clear blue water of Lake Powell. However, it is very crowded and is also a camp site with RVs and tents sited right up to the waters edge. There is also no shade and it was extremely hot. It... More

We arrived around 8:30am to let the kids swim for a couple of hours before we had to check out of hotel. We found a little spot to lay our beach towels and we all enjoyed the water. There were lots of people camping but we were still able to enjoy. If you have a boat, it would be a... More
