This was a very cool swimming hole. The 10 minute walk wasn’t bad at all. I suggest bringing water shoes to wear once you are ready to swim and jump. The weir is slick and so is the area in the water around the hole....More

The walk to the well area is pretty easy (flat for about 5 mins, then easy-to-walk rocky for the last 5). Not many places to "lay out" and enjoy the view or have a snack, but that's not the point - you are there for...More

Really nice place. Water is cold but good in hot weather. You have to walk for 10 min. to get to the Well but is enjoyable.

This place is not the easiest to get to. The walk is not bad, but when you get over to the swimming hole it’s really rocky and kind of narrow in places. I’m not sure it’s the best place for small children. It is pretty...More

The experience was fun, but the spring-fed water is soooo cold, 69 degrees. Enjoyed it non the less, a once in a life-time experience. It is nice that they limit the number of people allowed in at one time. It was not too crowded.

Wimberley is one of my favorites. This beautiful Texas Hill Country town has it all. And Jacob's Well is the icing on the cake. Don't miss it.

We visited wimberly every year, however it is first time we visited Jacob’s well. We visited it during the long weekend, the first attempted is not successfully since we arrived Sunday morning 11am and the park is full. So we went there next day around...More

This is something everyone needs to do at least once. Swam for a little while and took the typical tourist photos. It was fun, but quickly became very crowded even though you needed a reservation. We paid to swim and were given specific colored wristbands,...More

Brother from Dripping Springs took us here. Hadn’t been there in years - the entrance trail to this fantastic spring-fed off the beaten path swimming hole had changed. Improvements made by the county are nice. It was an easy nature walk (wildflowers) before the rock...More

The answers above are exactly what I would do - call the day of to see if they have any availability, or if you are in the area, show up to see if they have openings.

Our park is typically filled with wildlife and relatively empty in the mornings between 8-10am. Once we allow swimming (between 10-6) it can be hard to get shots of the well. That being said, the well does look gorgeous with... More
