The history of this truly special place speaks to the love of an Englishman for his Western wife. A visit to the gardens should be made not to "see" them but to 'experience' them. Come to just sit and take in the quite beauty. Look...More

I visited the Dallas Arboretum last weekend. It's one of my favorite places in the Metroplex. The well-manicured gardens feature well in my dreams for my home. Chandor Gardens is even better. I found Chandor Gardens because I'm a geocacher. Weatherford's Geocaching Expo was held...More

It is truly a beautiful place and in a very unexpected area of Weatherford. The story of the husband that created the gardens for his wife makes the place even more unique. Go and see it if you have the chance.

Your choice: dig deep and experience the rich history of Douglas Chandor and the home he built, or simply walk beautiful gardens and enjoy a slice of serenity in your day.

What a great find. Wasn't sure what to expect but the day was beautiful and the gardens even more so. I've visited many gardens in the U.S., Europe and Canada. Chandor, while small compared to many, are right up there as to care and display.

We went during a special event, with local artists selling thruout the Gardens. Took a tour of the house, doesn't take long at all. It has an English, Chinese appearance in the Garden. Make sure you use the brochure when walking thru, it'll explain everything...More
