We drove over an hour each way to visit, and it was definitely worth it! A great variety of animals that all seemed to be healthy. Wide walking paths suitable for a double stroller. Lots of shade. Crowds weren't too bad even on a Saturday. Still, get there early to see the animals most active in the cool of the... More

I've been to many zoos across the US (and Canada), but none have been as remarkable as Cameron Park's Zoo. Sure, they don't have an insane amount of animals, but the ones that they do have are kept in large enclosures and look well kept. They have a nature trail through the center, which makes you feel like you've escaped... More

So I went right when the zoo opened on Friday morning. It was so magical having the zoo to ourselves for a little while. The Gibbons were so cute and the route you take to see the animals seems overwhelming but it was just perfect! You didn't have to do a whole lot of back tracking. Can't wait to visit... More

One Sunday morning I was driving through the area on the way to another destination. I stopped on a whim. I had a great time. I spent 4 hours. My favorite by far was the Africa/Asia exhibit. I would encourage everyone. Take your time and wait for the animals to move to just the right spot. It is so worth... More

I've been twice- once with my spouse and once with classmates. Consistently pleasant, healthy animals, affordable tickets... a good way to spend the day in Waco. Eat before you come, though, there's not much food available on site.

Enjoyable day. Don't miss the poorly labeled building that includes the night animals like owls, raccoons, etc...I almost mistook it for a workers shed.

I got the entry tickets as a present. Normally I don't pay for seeing caged animals. I was pleased to see that the animals appeared well fed and their environment clean

The zoo has been well planned and is very nice for a city the size of Waco. The area is very clean and the visitors are able to see animals up close. There are plenty of shaded areas and seating. There is a nice play area for the kiddos. Although the Cameron Park Zoo does not rate as highly as... More

Really nice zoo for a city this size. Lots of shade, most animal experiences close up. Zoo clean, friendly staff. Have been numerous times and always take visitors to the state here....

Went with wife and 2 young children. Everyone had a great time. Enjoyed all the exhibits we could make it to. Lots of shaded areas, and the kids loved playing on the playground. Animals also seem to be well taken care of. A couple cons: Parking felt a little tight, the butterfly garden had no butterflies, and the cafe in... More
