About
A museum dedicated to the nation's oldest major soft drink - Dr Pepper! We offer three floors of exhibits featuring information about many different soft drinks, as well as a carefully curated selection of our massive soft drink memorabilia collection. Exhibits change regularly! You can visit our soda fountain and gift shop any time without paying admission. Photo ops outside the Museum include a Dr Pepper Green 1940s delivery truck, one of three original neon signs from the Mockingbird Plant in Dallas, and a hand-painted advertising sign original to the site. Of course the front of the Museum building itself is visitors' favorite photo location. We are a two block walk from Magnolia Market and the famous silos, and about half a mile from the newest restaurants including Torchy's Tacos and In-N-Out Burger.

Dr Pepper and Seven up ins and outs
This is a must do in Waco. It’s closed at night so the haunted rumor will not be a factor. Free fountain Dr Pepper with the 10.00 admission fee. The reading is very interesting and you maybe lucky enough to run into a worker that tells you about the well. If you want memorabilia the gift shop had every Dr Pepper item you can think of.

    Fun and Informative!
This was a fun stop on our Spring Break! Ticket prices are reasonable at $10 per ticket and includes 3 floors in one museum and 1 area in the soda fountain. With your ticket, you also get one free small beverage from the soda fountain. The museum is filled with information about the company, how it started, important figures/people, and tons of old bottles and advertising signs. It was neat to hear the history behind a popular beverage and how it became a world wide drink. This is near Magnolia Silos, so you can do both stops in one day (and only pay for parking once!). You also have the opportunity to make your own soda and do a soda taste test blindfolded. Both of these experiences cost extra ($10 per experience) and must be booked ahead of time on the website. The soda from the soda fountain tastes completely different from what you buy in the store as well, which makes it a new experience just for that alone.

    Fun Time
Im not even a Dr Pepper drinker and I still loved this place. Fun time with some great exhibits. This place made me think about soda around the world and how much of it there is.

Something to do waiting for eclipse
Visiting Waco to meet family, did Dr Pepper as it’s highly recommended. Was very crowded. Place is 3 floors with many posters and dioramas. Lots of interesting history. Also tells history of carbonated soda. Have an elevator and stairs. Most displays are on 1 at floor. Have a small gift shot and free tasting bar. Too long a wait for free soda. Place is clean and good rest rooms.

Nice place to visit to learn the history about Dr Pepper. Price is reasonable. We also did the make a soda experience and it was Interesting. I got a strawberry and cream float the was good. The gift shop is small and things are pricey. Had to get tickets there for museum bit was able to find deer the experience ahead of time. Wish you could do both.

Some interesting things, but not great.
There were a few interesting descriptions of the history and manufacture of Dr Pepper and other drinks. The “create your own soda” looked fun, but the lines were long. The hand-mixed floats were fine, but there were also a lot of people in line. I enjoyed the World of Coke in Atlanta far more.

"Be a Pepper" and see this historic and extraordinary museum.
This museum is a great tribute to one of the great soda makers of our time. Spanning two buildings, many exhibits, and a working soda fountain, the site is well worth your time. I learned a great deal about how Dr Pepper and its subsidiaries evolved, merged, and morphed into the wonderful company that we know and love today.

Nice museum. Lots of information and history. Displays were colorful and educational. Nice museum gift shop. Soda fountain was crowded. The bottling exhibit in the same building was cool. I'd go again.

I like Dr. Pepper more than the Museum.
There isn’t that much to see and they’ve stretched what they have to make it cover more ground. There are some interesting things so it’s fine for a quick visit. Forget the “free” drink at the end of your tour. If you value your time, the line to get the free drink isn’t worth it. It cost us $12 each to get in.

    Very retro
Very Retro museum. They really capitalize on the history of the drink and old packaging, as well as old manufacturing equipment. Admission is $12, No Military discount. Parking across the street is $10. Your admission includes a free small drink at the soda shop, but beware of the long line. I was ecstatic to see Dark Berry Dr Pepper on the menu! The gift shop is mostly cups, coozies and shirts. There’s a penny press in the soda shop.

I was excited to go to this museum, and very pleased by the strict enforcement of masks and other COVID-19 related measures according to the website, including that there would be staff around the museum to monitor people moving around, wearing masks, etc. Many people throughout the museum did not have their masks on, and most of the visitors were not social distancing. Large groups of people would stand and talk in front of the signage in the exhibit, some with their noses sticking out. For the 2 hours we were here, there was one announcement that "masks must be worn properly at all times", yet no one was on the floor announcing this.

When we went to claim our free Dr. Pepper, the queue was wrapped around a standard queue, all huddled together. Apart from people having masks, you would think that this was normal times. The line was so long with people who were not distancing , as well as many eating and drinking with masks off (yes, I know this is allowed). So we walked out to the gift shop to see if we could redeem are drinks there. Again, packed with people, some without masks.

While yes, this may have been a busy site, no one was monitoring capacity whatsoever. Having just visited the Waco Mammoth National Monument during the day where it was also busy, there were employees counting the number of people in and out, and not letting anyone in until areas had cleared out.

This museum needs to practice what it says it does on their website. I was very confident in going because their message was so strong, yet in person, they seemed to not care. Needless to say, we weren't able to fully enjoy our experience.

Aside from that, the museum didn't have too much on the drink's history, but was more so a museum of seltzer, chemistry, and failed product ideas, as well as advertising history. Needs a bit of an update.

Maybe in non-COVID times I would like this place more, but I do not recommend going there right now.

With all the hype and excitement about the Dr pepper museum we were less then impressed. There was some history that was interesting but the rest was advertisement paraphernalia and cans and bottles. A real functioning production line would have been cool. Our free soda was actually made with syrup and seltzer which was nice but we waited for over 20 minutes to get it. If you don't have parking at the Silos and walk, they charge you $10 to park plus entry fees. The Texas Rangers museum has free parking and entry is half the price with so much more to offer.

It was pouring rain, windy and chilly and we decided to check this out and it was well worth the visit. Enjoyed the history of the soft drink and soft drinks in general and the original "deep well" that they got the water from plus the great "really old" commercials way back to the radio days till present time. And what's really nice at the end you get a small dr. pepper (included in the admission price) and sit down at their small cafe to enjoy it or take it to go. And the "free" drink is made from the real syrup and the real soda fountain like the old days and is far superior to the bottled drinks. They do hit you up for donations quite often (whenever you're spending any money, i.e., buying tickets, buying souvenirs, etc.). Enjoyable hour out of our day.

There is free parking across the street from the museum. You pay admission in the main building. Admission is good for the entire day and includes a free Dr. Pepper in the soda fountain. The main building has 3 floors of exhibits. The exhibits emphasize Dr. Pepper products, but also include a good history of the industry and the science behind the industry. There is another building across the courtyard which includes the soda fountain, gift shop, and the "Liquid Laboratory." The laboratory has presentations throughout the day and, between presentations, informative films are shown.

If you are a huge fan of both Dr Pepper and history then this is the place for you. There are 3 floors of exhibits and short films to watch explaining how Dr Pepper was invented (right here in waco) and how it has evolved over the years. I was pleasantly surprised with just how well the museum layout is and the fact there are many photo opportunities for a selfie! After touring the museum be sure to stop at the gift shop and of course the soda shop where you get a free Dr Pepper with paid museum admission....or you can upgrade to a float like we did. There are a few cool exhibits to see inside the soda shop building as well so don't miss these. If you are a Dr Pepper lover this is not to be missed for sure!

I would say unless you are really into Dr. Pepper and want to know the history behind the soda this museum isn’t worth the price of admission. Exhibits are mostly write ups and pictures about the history of the soda, some old bottles and old ads. Definitely will bore kids.

Had a great Dr. Pepper tour today. It’s definitely smaller of the Soda Tours I’ve been on but still has a lot of great information, items and knowledgeable personnel at the museum. At the end of the tour, the live soda shop was excellent...definitely a soda float is a must .... very children friendly ,

Museum is not owned by Dr. Pepper so it also points out the history of other soda products. Old bottling machines, videos, old soda counters, bottles, cans and an animated history of the birth of Dr. Pepper.
Old commercials that will make you say Hey I remember that. Finish with a “free” hand made Dr. Pepper.

Low rating only because the experience didn't leave me with any better understanding of the long history of Dr Pepper than before entering. Some info on the history of "fizzy" drinks at the beginning was informative, but when it came to learning about this particular beverage it fell short. They presented lots of examples of old advertising signs hanging on the walls and a continuous video of old TV ads for the product. There was an entire room dedicated to 7Up, but no explanation of the connection this product had to Dr Pepper. Unfortunately, I feel if I had saved the $10 it cost to enter and skipped this stop entirely I would have been better off just buying some refreshing Dr Pepper to enjoy and left it at that.

Be prepared to wait in line because this place is popular! I visited during Spring Break and even though I got there right before the museum opened, there were already 20 people in line. The exhibits were informative and filled with fun facts. I did the Make A Soda activity, which I'd had to book a day in advance. The facilitators supplied all the ingredients, containers and labels; I selected the flavors that I wanted to add to my creation. Then I got to take my bottled soda home. The museum is a "must-see" if you're visiting Waco.
