This is a beautiful trail but I was overwhelmed by the number of loud day hikers who didn't know trail etiquette. The Monkey Rock is cool to see and we enjoyed the view from scenic overlook #3 it is worth the detour.

Loved the hike. My wife isn't much on hiking and even though there were moderately difficult parts, we were able to hike the whole loop fairly easily.

The East Trail in Lost Maples State Park was quite a hike, but the views were worth it. I recommend hiking boots as the loose gravel can be tough to navigate and bring plenty of water.
