I wouldn't call it a grand estate but you do the feel of a really nice working family home. Nice history attached to it. And the docent is dedicated to its history and knowledgable.

We just visited the McClendon home tour. Very well maintained! Carolyn, our docent, was very knowledgeable. The history of the home very interesting, would recommend definitely to others.

With the ability to tour the house at our own pace, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Few people were there, so get on over, pardner!

This is a restored historical site in Tyler. Workmanship is great and it is worth the side trip to view old-time Tyler. Take a camera...we forgot ours, so can't submit photos, but it is well worth seeing.
