Lots of history. Love the church and the cabins and the regular activities on the grounds such as the Bygone Days.

You can walk through on your own, but the buildings are kept locked, so it's better with a guide. Only one of the buildings is air-conditioned, but it's a neat place to walk through with the guide if you enjoy history stuff. My husband &...More

Drove to Stephenville to see this museum. We walked in the office and were interrupted mid sentence. The woman said she just finished a tour and couldn't do another, said she could do it later. We were sorely disappointed as we were not planning on...More

We're sorry you were unable to be given a tour. Our office manager/docent was recovering from knee replacement surgery and had limited mobility. We hope you can stop by again sometime!

It is a quaint place with several old cabins from the area. The "gift shop" is in the office and does not take cards nor is there an ATM machine.

This is a good place to take the family for learning local history. Several out buildings and lot's of exhibits. Lots of local history of Stephenville. Highly recommended

I've done numerous photo ops for seniors/families here at this museum site. There are plenty of options to give you that rustic background. It's got a gravel parking lot and numerous outbuildings. There's also a wooded trail nearby to explore.

It was nice to see the main house and see the carriage house. Throughout the year they have special events for the families.

The place was closed the day we went, so we were unable to go inside the buildings, but just walking around the outside and peeking in the windows was nice. Everything is well marked with good signage, so you know what you're looking at and...More
