We went for Dino days exhibit. The kids had fun with the interactive activities. The staff was great at keeping the kids I gaged.

This is a small but nice museum. Lot's of historical items and occasionally they have special exhibits. My 8 year old grandson loved the dinosaur bones a few years ago!

I took old photos in the get them analyzed for their value. It cost me $35 to get in the place and the people analyzing the photos were people I knew that had no expertise in this field.

The Sherman Museum, formerly called the Red River Historical Museum, is a fairly small facility located in a historic Carnegie Library building. Down stairs area highlights an excellent dinosaur and fossil exhibit, which I understand is expanded during "Dino Days" each year. The other part of the first floor contains a nicely-done timeline of Red River area history and information... More

Small, yet informative local museum. Learned a bit of the history of Sherman..nothing that WOWED me. Exhibits are nicely presented, staff is friendly. I thought $5 entrance fee was a excessive provided the exhibits..postcards were a buck each! The facility is EXTREMELY clean.

Bring the kids and enjoy the intimacy of The Sherman Museum. Whether for Dino Days in August and November, or one of their other exhibits, you and your kids or family will have a great time up close and personal with history. It is located in the old Sherman Library build with a grant from Carnegie Foundation in 1914.
