City did a update to park a few years ago and our kids love it. It's very nice and safe. The city also built another new park with splash zone. Good job Seguin.

My first visit to this park was about 4 years ago and I fell in love with the small town vibe of Seguin, Texas! I told my husband then that I wanted to retire to this place! It was so lovely and it is an awesome place to kayak and fish. If you are a golfer they have a nice... More

Like the park it has a play area closet to the dog park area so I can see my grandkids play on play set and dog run around dog area at the same time. If don't have dog with us they bigger part of the park is great for the kids too.

We visited Max Starcke Park and really enjoyed it. The large old pecan trees, the squirrels, the tranquil water that had a paddle trail, the weir, children's playground, the golf course and picnic and BBQ spots were great. In season, there is also a public pool. It is a terrific park and a great way to pass a couple of... More

The quiet beauty was amazing. After a hectic day I'd driving, this was a perfect way to relax and unwind. Lovely pecan trees and running water.

Had a good time paddling up from the dam. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and there was only a few people fishing. You can easily paddle upstream because it's more of a lake instead of the river there due to the dam. Very easy for beginners. They have a nice little cement dock to drop the boat in.... More

A big, beautiful park shaded by hundreds of old pecan trees on the banks of the Guadalupe River. Perfect for the whole family. There is a nice, 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, volleyball courts, doggie playground, cement picnic tables both on the banks of the river and elsewhere in the park, small pavilions for 4 to 10 people, bigger pavilion... This little gem on the Guadalupe River is located just off the square and has the most beautiful trees and water. It's gorgeous and has been outfitted with playing fields, golf, dog zones and pavilions for large events.. It is simply beautiful and provides many activities for family and kids or quiet spots for peaceful contemplation. A very wonderful place.

Far as Starcke Park itself is concerned, I'm guessing it's fine. I have taken my grandkids out there to play on all their "kid" equipment e.g. swings, etc, and have attended quite a few little league baseball games (grandkids again)., but my main exposure has been to the golf course. It is well maintained, challenging, good guys running things, never... More

Pretty scenic park along the lower Guadalupe River. This, being my childhood park, is sentimental to me. I have many fond memories of learning to swim, play tennis, shuffle board, birthday parties, outdoor grilling and true BBQ with the family. Unfortunately the picnic tables along the river banks of the park have been neglected and need repair and at least... More
