I thought the park was kinda trashed.

Major cleanup is needed. It looks like the park is being used as a dump for the city. Trucks were hailing in and dumping trash on my first and only trip to the park.

This park is not very well known, is in a hidden location off the main traffic. It is not always well kept. Very large area.

crescent bend is a one and mile paved trail with 2 bird blinds and restrooms. The blinds will get you within 30 feet of many birds such as the red napped sap sucker which is not local to this region.

A nice little area to go on a long nature walk. Its just mostly raw nature, though the trail was once paved, so it remains clear enough to walk. You'll love it if you're looking for some exercise and to get out of the neighborhoods etc. If you want to walk your stroller with some friends, maybe not the perfect... More

Had a nice walk here. I imagine there would be plenty of birds here during spring migration. There are multiple parking areas even though they are not clearly shown on the maps available online.

This park is nothing fancy, but it's a nice retreat away from the suburbs of San Antonio. The park includes a nice 8000 foot long gravel trail that makes a giant loop. The location is excellent for birding, and you'll see a lot of folks there in the mornings with their telephoto lenses. There's a small creek adjacent to the... More

Crescent Bend will never be mistaken for McAllister Park, but if all you want to do is take a walk among nature, Crescent Bend does just fine. The trails are decent enough for the occasional walker. Serious hikers won't be impressed though. My wife likes the park during the week for visiting the two bird blinds and the nice variety... More

Nice walking trails and if you like to bird watch this is the place! Numerous warblers, cardinals, vireos, buntings and others have been seen there especially during the spring migration.

Every morning while we have been here we have got up and went for a walk. This morning we came here. It was overgrown by weeds, the paths were covered with ants, and it smelled horrible. I will say that it is a good spot for a beginner runner. It's very flat and 1.25 miles/loop. Not much shade though and... More

A good place to relax and have some quite time without having to spend any money. Was glad I took my photographer equipment! It has a nice area with blinds for snapping pictures of different birds.
