These murals are a great example of the history of the city. They are very large murals and not hard to find along with being in great shape.

The historical murals were featured on the tv show, "Texas Country Reporter". Sunday morning is a good time to drive around and see all of the murals. It is fun to take them all in. They have a list at the Visitor's Center to be able to locate them all.

LOVED the cell phone call in system for a "personal" explanation of the art. Did find it a bit confusing to find each panel but they were all in a small area downtown. Worth the stop.

The murals in San Angelo are so interesting! They add so much to downtown. Beautiful! You go to turn a corner and, wow! Another one! I love it.

It was very interesting to see the murals, However, traffic made it difficult to really enjoy. But fun to find.

San Angelo has become an art community which is evident in the art around town. We have murals, sculptures & art in uncommon places. This is on the side of the M L Leddy building. You can view the history of San Angelo, get a pair of handmade boots and shop historic San Angelo at the same time!

My wife and I were in town for a short stay...and found ourselves in downtown San Angelo on a Sunday afternoon where nearly every business was closed. We made a quick stop by the Visitor's Center and discovered a map to some of the historic murals. This was a lot of fun. There was NO TRAFFIC on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON... More

We picked up a "map" at the travel center and managed to view all of the murals. You drive, but we walked it as they are all in a few block area. If you have a cell, they give you a card - you dial the number and you get the history and information for that mural.

Great. Loved the modern look at historical information. Great walking tour. Drive if you must, but walking is best.
