Easy to access, not very crowded when we got there on a Sunday around 11 am. Everyone was friendly and you get to touch and feed the animals.

I visited Sharkarosa with my friend and her 2 young children when I visited Texas recently. We ended up spending about 4 hours there which for a 4 and 6 yr old was plenty of time. We enjoyed the informative animal demonstrations and particular enjoyed the tram ride - the kids loved it. The pizza looked amazing and it's great... More

I went last week with my husband and my daughter using a Groupon. I had such a good time , and it way passed my expectations. It's not as polished as a zoo in the city, but it is sweet countryside supposed to be. The tram ride was absolutly the best activity. Please remember to buy some feed, because the... More

We've been going here for a few years. Lately, though, they are hard into raising money and prices, making this less of a value.

There are a lot of animals for the kids to see. There is a petting zoo. Also, there is a tram tour, led by a tractor (fun for the little ones) that's bumpily takes you back to see some of the wildlife like camels, zebras, horses and pigs. There is usually a Groupon deal you can use to get a... More

I drove over 2 hours to visit this place, it was not worth my gas nor my time. Kids were disappointed. Not enough animals, staff was not as friendly as expected.

We purchase tickets on Groupon for a group of 3 adults and 2 toddlers. We had a great time. It's not overwhelming for little ones and you don't have to walk 100 miles like a big zoo. You aren't going to be blown away, but you will appreciate the mom-and-pop feel to this facility, not overly commercialized. I would have... More

This is a great place, just north of Dallas, to spend an afternoon with the family. Check for ticket packages on Groupon. You can feed camels, goats, donkeys, horses and other animals. They take credit cards for all activities.

A good place to take the toddlers. Petting zoo was a highlight for our two yr old. The "shows" are more educational talks but they are not very long, as good for toddlers. Can make a good pit stop before exploring Ray Roberts State Park.
