What a great visitor's center! We looked at all the displays, were given information by the gentleman on site, and picked up brochures to further guide us during our stay.

... to its great ratings. The exhibits give good background on the area's history without being so extensive as to become mind-numbing. There is always someone on duty to answer questions and make recommendations. This is the place to start for a first-time visitor.

We were on the road, getting into town later than we had planned. I knew we wouldn't make the visitor's center before it closed so I called. We were in Nacogdoches on a Monday and virtually everything was closed. The gentleman in the visitors centre was very helpful and informative and we spoke to him for a long time. There is a display of artifacts upstairs and downstairs there is a film of Nacodoches. A Visit to the visitor centre is a must.
