This place is magical close to town but you feel like you are in the middle of the forrest. I love to run or walk the trails and look for birds.

This place is family friendly. It has a beautiful trail to run/walk in. It is located on Stephen F. Austin State University property and there's always plenty of people around if your concerned about safety issues.

Visited for the Bird Days festivities Feb 2017. A great place for a leisurely stroll or a birding jaunt, with a well constructed marsh boardwalk.
