This venue is a like a hero villain skit and old timey file for about half of the show and them a series of individual skits. The fun is throwing popcorn everywhere or getting it dumped on you. Don't wear nice clothes and don't get offended if a stranger dumps popcorn on you. A little risqué at times but not... More

Summer Mummers is a must to go see and participate in if visiting Midland in the summer on a weekend. It is crazy hilarity and lots of laughs. Throwing popcorn can get your jewelry loose and clothes dirty, so go very casual and get ready for popcorn everywhere. It is a big fundraiser for Midland Community theatre, and an absolute... More

From the ads one might think Summer Mummers is for everyone. Just be aware that it's geared toward adults--and is rowdy, bawdy, and messy. I wouldn't take the kids. Or my grandma. And I'm sometimes uncomfortable myself...

Just thought it was a play, boy was we wrong. Part Play, Musical, Movie, Humor, Dancing and just plan hilarious. On top of that, you can go one weekend, then the next weekend and there will be new parts. Cast and crew did an outstanding job. Will be going again. Remember don't forget your popcorn.

Have a drink,or a few and get ready for a great old time type play and following olio skits and performances that are a unique gem. And get ready for Popcorn everywhere! On your head, and everywhere else. Where tight clothes and no jewelry! A one a kind experience, known world wide!

It's probably the best thing to do in Midland during the summers. It's just a hilarious good time for adults. Get a baby sitter and go! You have to buy tokens at a both to get beer at the bar and they give you beads if you tip. There is popcorn everywhere so the floors tend to get sticky so... More

Summer Mummers is a must in Midland during the Summer. Silly over the top corny vaudeville production in the Historic Yucca Theatre. Throw buckets....bags.... Tubs of popcorn! Laugh and let loose. Complete stupidity and complete fun. Don't wear any jewelry or clothes that you would die if something happened to them. Everything has a great chance of slipping off. Don't... More

This had been recommended by friends so 10 off us went to see it. The price of the tickets were $20/$25 each, it's located in the centre of Midland in what looks like a rundown theatre, upon entering your directed to a booth were you buy tokens for beer or popcorn. I brought 2 tokens, one for a beer and... More

I was born and raised in Midland. We moved to Dallas 15 years ago. We have missed Summer Mummers ever since then. We have been threatening to go back for the show - but it's just not as much fun with just 2 people. Why? Popcorn throwing madness! It's a melodrama with bad guys and heroes. Party girls and sidekicks.... More

Summer Mummers is so funny and when you think you are done laughing here it comes again. The people on stage are amazing to be there on that stage every weekend all summer long starting in June. It is adult fun and if your are easily insulted or bothered by mild adult things then I don't suggest it.
