We found this attraction using Tripadvisor and we were very happy we did. This park is an actual 87-acre oasis in the middle of the desert! We visited on a Friday morning in November and only saw one other hiker. An easy 1.2-mile loop trail...More

I went there in late March, and enjoyed walking the about 1.5 mile long trail. I can imagine that it would indeed be a beautiful place when more greenery sprouts, the lake fills up, and more birds return. The trail itself is nicely built with...More

Nice urban respite, though evidence of after hours illegal and improper use is blatantly obvious. Trash does need to be policed more often. Wildlife other than birds are rarely scene.

Lots of trails but winter is not the time to go unless you enjoy dead scenery. I imagine in spring its a nice place with the greenery in bloom.

A place where you can watch ducks, cranes and other birds live and move and walk among a forest like environment. Very unusual for West Texas. I-20 does pour in some noise but it can be tuned out.

Saunter around the paths and bridges to see nature at its finest. Great place for casual conversation and escape, just a short distance from civilization.

Smallish but outstanding Preserve. Its right next to freeway, so when you start the trail it can be noisy. But pretty soon you've moved away from freeway and you it is still and quiet.

If you love the sound of nature this is a great little place to go. It is hard to believe there is something like this in Midland.

So so place to visit. If you want to walk around and get away from the crowds, then this is a possibility.

We hung around the area for our anniversary this year and found this little gem. We went mid-day so it was pretty hot but trees cover a lot of the path. There is a "dock" that circles the pond but there are no trees around...More
