Have just had a fabulous lunch here. (About 3 miles east of Fuengirola at Carvajal). Signature dish is sardines - 10 for 3euros. Friendly staff, beach location, frequented by locals as well as tourists. Cateto's Beach is the best we've been to for a long time.

Cleanly kept beach with good facilities ; we didn't sit on the beach but walked most days , and sat in one of the many bars people watching. Fantastic views

This is a nice beach but limited area so ok out of season but packed in summer. Looks clean and gentle so good for families and childrenNice long promenade. Less touristy place .

A super walk along the beach, one of many on this coast line. On a lovely sunny day in January, what more do you need.

The heavy rains have 'cleaned' the storm drains and arroyos carrying the cut (see the ends) bamboo/cane down to the sea - the beach is covered with it. The council are doing a great job of cleaning up, there a piles of bamboo, all the beaches.

The beach is a bit remote, which means that it is much calmer here than in the more central beaches. However, there are some really good restaurants in the area.

This is an excellent beach, worth visiting from anywhere in Malaga and easily accessed by train with the station across the road. Plenty of restaurants and bars as well as good swimming although the sand on this part of the coast can be gravelly.

You can have sardines cooked on the BBQ on the beach, it is so beautiful and peaceful here, I always pay a visit when I'm in Benalmadena
