It's like going back in time for a while, seeing the alleys of little white houses and the occasional bar or restaurant. The church is not to be missed, the views from there are delightful and if you are very lucky you might be able to see Colamares Castle which is well worth a visit. A memorable trip, try it!

Lovely village and an ideal place to relax Spanish ambience and lots of great bars and restaurants. We stayed in the Hotel La Fonda and it is excellent.

unspoilt and idyllic, lovely traditional spanish village with stunning views of the coast. Visit the budist temple (largest outside of Asia) and butterfly gardens just a short walk from the village centre, some amazing restaurants and cafe to sit and watch the world go by.

A really lovely village to walk around, a number of shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Take the lift to the church where there are great views down to the sea

Tradionally built houses, with some nice local restaurants. Nice strolling around little lanes. If you go on a Sunday, arrive after eleven in the morning as nothing much opens before this

Most people go straight past this pueblo on their way up the hill to Mijas, they're missing a more authentic less touristy Spanish experience. We like to get the bus up from the coast, have a wander round, have a coffee and then walk down past the castle to the coast again. There's usually something going on, the last time... More

Get here before the crouds to enjoy the narrow streets and tapas bars even more. It's great to wander around. And don't forget the old church at the top. Brilliant place to visit.

When I moved to Andalucia in 2012, I ended up here in Benalmádena Pueblo, and although I since moved to Fuengirola, I still have lost my heart to the little Pueblo. Of course there are bars where the tourists hang around and all that, but if you enter the old town, you´ll find the places, where the local people are... More
