- WorcesterMoray1,089 contributionsNot as much wildlife as previouslyThe park no longer has the extensive wildlife it used to have. Gone it seems are the terrapins, rabbits and chickens. Noticeably less birds on the water. The grounds are still nice. Work was taking place so on our visit could not walk all around the lake. However still a nice place for a wanderVisited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 21 October 2023
- richard s29 contributionsGo find the goats with huge plumsThis gorgeous park is tucked away behind Benal Beach resort and we'll worth a visit to pass a few hours. Easily the best kept park I've visited in Spain. Between the lost heads display, cactus garden, lake, cafe's and the goats with ridiculously large plums there is plenty to see.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 29 October 2023
- Wayne Cook72 contributionsLovely park, nice scenery, fun for little onesWe visited Park de Paloma after it was recommended. On first approach it looks a little rough due to work being carried out outside but inside is a family friendly environment to spend an hour or two wandering around. Inside there are a couple of cafes and plenty of toilets so you're able to take a break and enjoy the greenery. For the kids there are a few animal enclosures scattered about, like goats and rabbits etc and play areas for them to have a bit of fun. There's lots of interesting features to the park for adults too, like the cactus exhibition and a few water gardens. We used it for family photo opportunities and got some great pictures around the park. Best of all for those on a tight budget, it's free, so definitely recommendedVisited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 1 November 2023

Lush, green, plenty of places to sit, places to eat, a lake, all perfectly cared for. Such a treat. There is a most amazing tree... fig, I think. The cacti are worth seeing and admiring. A definite should do.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 November 2023

We had a lovely lunch in one of the cafes. We saw some animals as in ducks, parrots and rabbits. Definitely worth a visit if in Benalmadena.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 9 November 2023
- Ana A5 contributionsVery good for familyNice, interesting park, very beautiful cactus and suculents collection, birds, goats. Pond, waterfall. Paths for walking. Chess tables. Playgrounds for kids. WC. We spent here very good time with kids, aged 5 and 2 years. And it is free of charge!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 16 November 2023
- GangstaGrannyPlymouth, United Kingdom91 contributionsAn oasis of calmA really nice surprise, in the midst of all the high rise flats, hotels, and “touristic stuff”. Quiet, calm, beautifully laid out, and a pleasant retreat from the hustle and bustle of the beach front walkway and the main streets. Especially liked the cactus area and the quieter areas. 2 cafés inside the park for coffees, ices, snacks etc. And the necessary toilets, of course. Also enjoyed the “outdoor gyms” dotted here and there, and the huge head sculptures. Does get very busy with the local families enjoying it at weekends though..Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 January 2024
- Barry SWaterlooville, United Kingdom45 contributionsExcellent parkThis park is one of the best we have been in. Nice lake to see all the wildlife including the odd Terrapin. Plenty of wild life, parakeets, doves, pigeon etc. plus goats and chickens. Swings etc and cafe's and nice walks. Must see is the cactus garden it is one of the best we have seen. And it is all free and excellent day out for all the family.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 February 2024
- 29jan15Northern Ireland, United Kingdom220 contributionsBeautiful parkWe visited here to pass a few hours in the afternoon, the park is gorgeous and has a cafe on entrance and beside the play park. Our visited concentrated on the play park, which is large and well equipped for kids of all ages. Beside the park there is a cafe bar which sells reasonably priced food and drinks. I would like to return and explore more of the walks around the park as it was beautiful and well maintained. We walked to the marina afterwords which took about 30 minutes with kids. Highly recommend a visit here.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 26 February 2024

We discovered this lovely park five years ago while on holiday and could not wait to return this time. This is a well established park, with lots of facilities, and is a natural home to some wonderful wildlife. If you have kids they will love it as you stumble upon so many animals that roam freely around the park, there are terrapins in the central lake too.
This is an oasis of relaxation, free to enter and so close to the tourist heart of Benalmadena. The park is easy to navigate and you can spend as much or as little time as you like here. Recommended

Very nice park with 3 different bars (and prices). You can take a walk around the lake (with ducks, swans,...) or visit the cactus garden which is amazing. I have never seen so many cactus plants in one place. Worth a visit (and it is free)

What a beautiful place. It' s a must when in Benalmadena.
The park is beautifully maintained. There is a lake with ducks, 🦆baby chicks and turtles🐢 and whilst walking round we found a few areas which had gym equipment, (again really well maintained), a couple of cafès reasonably priced and friendly staff. Toilets in one part of the park I'd give a miss, but the ones by the cafés were fine.
There is a cactus🌵 village, some unusual shapes and sizes, definitely worth seeing, goats, chickens and cockerels too!
There is a great park for kids on site too!
Upon a further wander round we came across a bar with a mini carousal 🎠 (€1 a go) and small bouncy castle (free). You could order drinks and food on site too.
Overall was very impressed, lovely grounds, we visited twice whilst there.

We came for the shows, which we saw two years ago. They were all cancelled when we got to the top of the mountain after paying over 100 euros to get in, because it rained. Which is completely understandable. We went to leave again after about 30 minutes, and asked if it was possible to get a partial refund or ticket for another day or something. The lady was rude and lied, saying she had told us it was a risk when we entered, which she did not. If she had, we would have waited a little to hear if they were cancelled, before entering. Another thing my daugther pointed out is, that the large birds are kept in extremely small cages, which is a shame.

Wow what a beautiful park which is full of things to keep the little ones entertained. Our 5 year old loved the play park and us adults appreciated the cafe near to it so we could have a refreshment. Park has several toilets within it.
Cactus garden was great with a lot of variety, some were huge.
There are also animals within the park including goat, chicken and wild cats, bunnies and guinea pigs.
Defo worth a look when staying in the area!

Lovely walk around the park, great to watch the chickens and parrots, lots of benches to sit and watch the world go by. plenty of Cafe's to stop at as well. The huge boot sale would keep you busy for ages, browsing all the stalls for bargains.

This is a council run park with a couple of cafes and plenty of toilets. Loads of benches to sit for a while and enjoy the lovely views, overlook the lake or just watch the world go by. A nice change from a seaside walk. Keep your eyes peeled to see the eclectic range of 'wildlife' in the park!

This park is beautiful. Its only a 10 minute walk from the beach front although it is uphill. It has a large pond with ducks and birds etc. Observation platforms, large green areas for family times/picnics etc. An assortment of animals, goats, free roaming chickens and Cockerells. A children's adventure play ground and a cafeteria. Large bronze or copper head sculptures. Such an interesting place away from the hustle and bustle of the town. A must see when visiting Benalmadena. Its up the road at the side of the Las Arenas Hotel although it does have a number of entrances so maybe alternative routes accessible

Hi, please can you tell me if the cafe/restaurant with the bouncy castle is still open in November? Kids love playing while we can sit and have a drink. We were staying close by in January of this year and loved the trips to the park with our children.
Thank you

I'm just watching a video recorded, by someone in the park Feb 2021 - where have all the chickens gone? There were thousands when I visited in Jan 2020 but none I could see in this video. Have they been relocated due to Covid perhaps?

Thanks

Very Good bus service, between Malaga Fuengirola, runs right along the front. If you get the bus, get off in Benalmadena,at the windmill roundabout, couple of minutes walk up the hill, brings you into the bottom of the park. Fuengirolla market is worth a look on a Tuesday, same bus, opposite direction. You can also get the bus up to Mijas. Buses are flat fare, 1.7 euro, less if you get a discount card.
