Not to be missed.

This is well worth a visit but most of the written explanations are in French and we were unable to obtain a guidebook in English. The interior is amazing and we were very impressed with the efforts being made to renovate this majestic place of worship.
NO entry fee either which was refreshing given that most UK cathedrals charge. Will no doubt revisit when in St Omer next year.

Magnificent

Unusually for me, I don't have a lot to say, I found it very impressive and if you have any interest in historical buildings well worth a visit, I particularly liked the clock and all the coats of arms.

beautiful - check out the organ - amazing craftsmanship and many small details - a great testimony to the vanity of the church but still lovely

Lovely cathedral
Oct. 2019
The cathedral was located a short distance from our hotel (Ibis Saint Omer Centre). Although the outside could do with being cleaned up, the inside is fabulous with many stained glass windows and an amazing organ.

The cathedral of Saint-Omer and a fascinating clock
Sep. 2019
The cathedral of Saint Omer, dedicated to Notre Dame (Our Lady) has some amazing artifacts on display. There is the astronomical clock, which has possibly the most complicated clock face i have seen, there is an amazing and huge pipe organ. Utterly breath-taking stained glass and in one of the side chapels, seemingly wedged in a piece of the furniture, the standard of XVI Squadron, Royal Air Force (UK). I know that this squadron was founded at St Omer airfield in 1915, however there was nothing obvious to explain the presence of this particular standard.
This also sums up the greatest disappointment of our visit, there was hardly any information available in English to explain or inform about this beatiful building. And that is the reason for only 3 stars.

A fine example of early cathedral architecture
Aug. 2019
The cathedral stands out as the most impressive building in this attractive small northern French town. It is well worth a stop for those hurrying towards the coast ports.
The cathedral has some fine stunned glass and art work and an impressive organ

Breath taking

A definite to visit whilst in St Omer. Both the outside and inside of this building are incredible. Very peaceful and relaxing to simply look and try to take it all in. Unforgettable.

Very pleasant....
Aug. 2019 • Business
I had a quick look round, with a colleague, prior to a spot of lunch nearby.

Some beautiful elements inside - nice stained glass windows and Organ is impressive.

Externally, also impressive.
