Group of 13 of us staying near Le Bugue wanted to see a grotte but didn't really want to travel too far (we had a pool to get back to). We were lucky that the next tour started about 10 mins after we arrived. The...More

small cave with faint outline of carved drawings, very quiet place and although in la Bugue is not visited as much as other caves. The entry fee does not give you value for the visit

This was the first of over 10 caves we saw on our visit to the Vezere Valley. The tour was very nice, both in French and English. There are many nice etchings and even a small museum in the cave with artifacts. A privately owned...More

The cave may only be small, but it beat the others hands down for just how interesting it is without any of the 'Disney' effects. The reliefs are amazing and the guide was passionate about them and the cave as a whole. Very good value...More

Very interesting guided tour. Tours available in English and in french which is helpful. They're ingravings, not paintings, but at least they are originals and not copies. It's nice to see an authentic place, not a money making industry. I recommend it.

We visited Grotte Bara Bahau recently - the very first prehistoric cave on our tour of the area and it was simply marvellous. We were given a private tour by a lovely lady named Dominique who was extremely knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. Perfect english spoken...More

This grotto is small compared to the more famous ones in the Perigord. However the guide's explanation in French and English was fascinating. The visit takes just over 30 minutes and should be a "must" in the area.

We were the only visitors on this rather damp morning but the lady guide was very informative and showed us all the etchings and artefacts. Quite uneven flooring and not brightly lit so you had to watch were you were walking.
