The Dockyard Company LTD. A Bermuda company, has been in operation for over 16 years. We had simple beginnings as a small glass studio with a passion for the Arts. We have grown into a larger Studio, training apprentices in the Traditional Venetian Style Glassblowing of our Glass Maestros in Classic Blown and Hand-Worked collectibles. Soon after opening, The Dockyard Company Ltd; The Bermuda Rumcake Company, started producing locally made Rumcakes and also increased further support of other individual artists in different fields across Bermuda.

When we arrived there was a glassblowing demonstration in progress so we decided to watch. What skill! There was a main glass blower and an assistant both working as a team and obviously familiar with working together as they flowed seamlessly from one process to the next. The end result was a plate - absolutely stunning. Do go if you... More

It's fascinating watching these skilled craftsmen creating beautiful glass objects. Not only can you watch the items being made but they have an excellent selection for purchase. An item from here is a great way to remember your visit to this most beautiful island.

This is the factory of rum cake and glass blowing. You can taste a variety of different flavors of rum cakes. Of course, they have plenty for sale, but they also have a rack of cakes that are on sale (“day old” so to speak). The other end of the building is glass blowing. They have lots of blown glass... Hey there, BLT1991! We indeed have demonstrations of our glassworks weekly, and are happy to answer any questions you may have! As for our cakes, we do have a "sale shelf" in the winter months, as we might have some cakes that are sitting a little while during our very slow season and before we throw them out we offer... Could have watched for hours the craftsmen creating this marvellous glassware. Also with the heat from the furnace it was warming after being out in a cool wind. The craftsmen made the glassware making process look easy!

This alone is almost the best reason to visit the Dockyard. The wares here are wonderful. You get to see the beauty born in the furnace.

My wife and I poked our head into the glassworks. While the artisans working was interesting the products were extremely expensive and too fragile to bring home on a plane. It is worth a look

No one blowing glass the day we were there, but they had a lot of finished product for sale. Area combined with the rum cake shop, but no one available to give out samples.

Glass blowing is an amazing art you can see performed before your eyes. The products are magical in how they are transformed from a hot blob to gorgeous, colorful masterpieces.

Free samples of all their yummy rum cake! Moist and tasty I never thought I liked it before! Be careful as there is fragile artwork everywhere! You can watch them as they mold the glass They also ship your cake or glass to your house for a reasonable price
