This is one place my wife and I consistently bought season passes to. They have 3-4 different seasonal attractions including a dinosaur exhibit that my boys loved! It was really fun to read a couple books and then see the lifesized dinosaurs. Even on off...More

I found this museum to be a little run-down and not very organized. On our walk to the front entrance, things were overgrown, wilted and/or dying. We had to step over and around plants across the sidewalks. I felt for the people ahead of us...More

We had had some experience hearing coyotes calling out at night. The employee at the desk had a group of coyote calls that she shared with us so we could learn what the calls meant. The grounds were also interesting with lots of turtles playing...More

Small museum with some interesting displays. Nothing outstanding. Lost raptors and birds some years ago; big disappointment lingers. Enjoyed our walk and escape from the big city on our way to Hutchins BBQ.

Great trails and wildlife, great birding, wonderful educational programs, pretty good giftshop esp for kids. Really nice place to wander alone and reconnect with nature, less people to bump into during weekdays rather than the week end. They also have night walks for birding. Come...More

I came here as a Chaperone on my son's class field trip. As 5+ year members of the Heard, I was excited to go. It was one of our most favorite places to do father-son activities. The field trip programming was interesting and informative. The...More

The Heard is on the smaller scale as museums and parks go. That said it is a very nice way to spend a half day. The museum has interesting displays that range from rocks/geology to sea life and mammals. There is an animal area with...More

There are so many different ways to experience the Heard! I have seen the dinosaurs, held workshops here, walked the trails, and enjoyed the exhibits. They feature different exhibits and shows -- including a native plants sale in the spring. The folks there are helpful...More
