I live in McKinney and have now for 30 years off and on. I am very familiar with this old courthouse and what's inside of it. In the basement are clear indications of a racial divide during the time this building was erected. In saying that, this is not the original court house at all it is the 4th recreation... More

Another nice example of century old courthouse architecture saved from the wrecking ball. I learned while touring that the building has been bastardized from its 1880s origin during an enlargement & that's a shame. The building had even more charm in its original form. The inside has been brought back as close to the original form as possible , while... More

We attended the International Wellington New Zealand Ukelele' Orchestra Performanc. We really enjoyed it and it was economically priced. They tried to keep the historic feel and kept the original wooden theatre seats. They have gotten little cushions to put in the seats but it was VERY difficult to sit during a performance like this without much discomfort. I would... More

In my line of work, I travel to many of the historic courthouses in Texas. This one is exceptionally well maintained and is the center for many McKinney activities. I would not rate it one of the prettiest in Texas, but very interesting and the fact that it is the hub of many of the town activities makes it one... More

well, there's the old courthouse right on the downtown historic square in McKinney which is now a cultural center... and really well placed and well run. Then there is the awesome new county seat on the far north side of McKinney. They do a good job from the couple times I've been there. At night though, it's not well lit.... More

I work for the county and visit the courthouse on a regular basis. I have found the menu to be varied and the offerings to my liking. They offer soup and salad everyday, as well as grill items for breakfast and lunch items. The chicken fried steak is good and vegetables taste fresh. I don't like everything, but to be... More

We caught a concert at the McKinney Courthouse. Loved the history and entertainment. Acoustics were great. Cheap price and excellent entertainment.

Beautiful old courthouse in the hub of wonderful shops. Just to walk around it and imagine the changes it has seen.

Now a performing arts center the old Mckinney Courthouse anchors the town's main square. We were there for a Christmas event and loved it.
