We visited on our way travelling from Nungwi to Stone Town by private transfer. Entrance was US$10 to see the monkeys with a private guide (who also expects a tip). You will walk into the forest and see the monkeys but that is about all that is involved. A nice few hours out with children

We had a deal of 40$ go and back with a taxi from stone town. We paid 8$ each for entering the reserve and had a tour in the little colobus monkey reserve, mahagoni forest and mangrove forest. You get to get close to the monkies for they are very friendly. The tour guide had good English and told us... More

We had a hire car, so drove to the forest. In truth the drive was the highlight, the actual forest tour was OK, but not really one to shout about. We arrived, paid $10 each and then hooked up with a guide. We first went to see the Mangrove swamp, sadly much of the walkway was under construction, however, the... More

We visited the three different areas, the forest, the red Columbus monkeys and the mangrove. The forrest and monkeys were the highlights, i dont usually like monkeys but these guys had such great characteristics. They come really close but they are not tamed or fed by locals as there are plenty of guava fruit to eat. We hired a taxi... More

Ridiciously expensive compared to what you get! We paid 50 USD per person (the hotel took 100 USD per person for the same tour) and the drive was 1½ hour. We saw less than 10 monkeys, a boring forest and 2 crabs in the mangrove. Total waste of money even though the monkeys are cute!

We took a two part guided tour from our hotel, Breezes, to the forest and Stone Town. Our guide suggested that we visit the Forrest first as it can get very busy later in the day with coach parties. We arrived at the park at 9am and were handed over to a guide from the park, I am sorry I... More

Gorgeous forest, nice guides giving you a lot information about monkey but also about plants and the red colobus monkey are just a hit to see how they play. I want to visit them again next year.

The forest is verry beautiful but tge toure is a bit disappointing because only a small part of the forrest is shown to the group. The guide was verry helpful and intresting just would have loved to see more of the forrest
