We saw the lights. We saw some kind of critter scurry across the patio. There was a full moon so we could not see the stars very well. Nice viewing area. We will return when there is no moon.

We did see lights out there! Some folks from our hotel said that they had been there the past three nights and hadn't seen anything.... However, at 8:00 PM on November 26th 2017, we all saw them!! I am not a believer in anything mysterious.......and...More

I've always wanted to go and now I have. The viewing are is in the middle of nowhere. A nice viewing area with restrooms is at the viewing site. There was about 15 people at the site when I went. We saw unexplainable lights and...More

I didn’t see any lights but the building was new and nice. I took a chair (and my dog) and set up near one of the markers near the fence line they have. It was really convenient since I did not want to take my...More

Much like the submarine races or searching for the Lady of the Lake at White Rock in Dallas...the Marfa Lights are a longtime Texas tradition and worth at least one visit. The visitor center does have good restrooms in case you do see the Lights...More

We went to Marfa specifically to see the lights and they sure enough showed up. Not the terrific light show that so many see, but the blips of lights appeared for us. It was cold and after an hour, we headed on back to the...More

Having grown up in Texas, I've always heard about the Marfa lights, but had never gone out. Since we were staying right up the road in Alpine, we took the opportunity to go and look. What a surprise that they have this nice viewing area...More

Not sure if there are actual Marfa Lights but it’s fun to listen to people’s ideas. The facility is very nice with a clean restroom. I think it’s worth the trip, even if you only enjoy the stars and the company.

We were on a bus tour that arrived in Marfa in the day time. Obviously, we could not see anything. Always arrive after dark and go to the location where the lights appear. They are not there every night, but, if you do see them,...More

Oct 7, 2017 we arrived around 10:45 pm and we immediately saw the lights. The lights we saw were white, red and green. Most of the lights were triangular in shape but the most exciting ones were a bright orb that would move fast like...More

It's open all the time because it is basically a roadside park positioned to give a good view of the lights. The lights come out at dusk so don't go there during the day.....you won't see them then!
