The new 18-hole championship golf course at Baxter Creek Golf Club is open...

The new 18-hole championship golf course at Baxter Creek Golf Club is open to the public and offers great value - high quality at affordable rates. Golf Architect David L Moote, designer of Golf Digest's 2004 Best New Course in Canada (The Rock, Muskoka, ON), has considered every design aspect of the landscape to provide enjoyment for guests of all golfing abilities. Mr. Moote has respectfully retained the character of the Larmer family farm while sculpting exciting course features. Rolling fairways plus classic time period Stanley Thompson/Donald Ross-esque greens and bunkers reflect a "Highland" or "Big Sky" flavour interspersed with holes meandering through established woodlot, naturalized areas and along the picturesque Baxter Creek. Course design, construction and on-going operations reflect a commitment to the highest standards of Environmental Responsibility.

Played this course recently while on our way to a friend's cottage in the Kawartha's for an annual boy's golf weekend. We will make Baxter Creek part of our ritual. Very pretty course, nice layout, excellent condition with a built-in beer/gambling 19th island green. Whoever designed this course had enjoyment as the highest priority.

I have played this course a number of times & I'll be back. There are a number of challenging holes, such as the 13th hole, par 5, with 2 dog legs left. It is also easy to walk.

Great course. Excellent condition. However teeing of at 8am on a Tuesday and taking 4 hrs 45 mins for 18 hours is beyond ridiculous. Really spoils the experience otherwise amazing.

The course is well maintained, staff is wonderful, as are the banquet facilities. The food was good, but, not the best. They are working on that. Our daughter was married here, and quite a few of the guests played golf.

My husband, daughter and I took my 90 year old mother to Baxter Creek for the Mother's Day Brunch this past weekend. My mother has a difficult time going out for meals as the portions are too large and often a meal out can be very stressful for her. She hasn't stopped exclaiming about how wonderful her meal was. The... More

Have played this course numerous times over the past couple of years. The course has always in very good shape ( tee boxes, fairways and greens) whenever I have played. Pace of play is very good and the staff is always friendly.

I have played this course annually for a few years. Today I was there for a lesson with Kevin, the pro. What I liked most about the experience was that he didn't try to do a complete makeover of my swing. (Far too late for that.) He watched and suggested a couple of changes that were critical to finding me... More

I have played this course a number of times over the past few years. It is in real good condition. There are a number of real challenging holes. It is easy to walk if you prefer that like I do. All the staff are friendly. I'll be back.

Played the course about 7-8 times in 2014. Tee times were 0800 and we were able to get around in about 3.5 hours. Some holes don't suit my eye but the layout, conditions and the value are really very difficult to beat anywhere in Southern Ontario. My friends and I are very seriously considering purchasing the senior weekday 30 pack.... More

Even if you don't golf, Baxter Creek is a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Also, their special occasion brunches are to die for!
