I camped here for a few days with some friends (hammock camping) over the recent Independence Day weekend. This place is definitely one of the best camping places around Austin. There are hundreds of primitive sites, so finding somewhere to sleep can be done even...More

We wanted to go see Hamilton Pool Reserve so I called the Parks offices and they said since they were full I would have to stay at Pace Bend Park at the primitive camping sites. They did not tell me that Hamilton Pool Reserve requires...More

Get a campsite on the west side of the park...it's much more primitive and secluded with a excellent private view of the lake. If you're wanting more people around with real bathrooms, the east side of the park is more suitable. If you brought your...More

Everything I wanted in camping!! Beautiful lake, beautiful views! Easy access! "Cliffs" you can jump off! The most bare-able outside restrooms I've ever been in! I can't wait to go back!

Nice, large, private and primitive camp sites for tenting. Many on cliffs above Lake Travis. Don't have info on RV sites to share but the park is huge so there are many options.

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights camping. We reserved a spot at the improved camping sites. The improved camping sites are more fit for RV camping but it was also great for tent camping. Each spot had it's own grill, table, and campfire pit....More
