Have been going here for over forty years (since about 1974 or so). Then it was Paleface Park and was much more primitive and secluded. Only a couple of ranches across the river; no lights at night; RR 620 from IH 35 @ Round Rock...More

Pace Bend is one of our favorite parks on Lake Travis. There is a boat ramp (maybe two?), camping areas, picnic tables, and both shalliw & deep areas for swimming. There are also multiple areas for cliff jumping (mostly on the west side, with one...More

This park is huge and has a lot of ground to cover. Lots of primitive sites next to the water. My boyfriend and I brought our bikes and we ride around the park in about an hour on the road. Not the most off road...More

I camped here for a few days with some friends (hammock camping) over the recent Independence Day weekend. This place is definitely one of the best camping places around Austin. There are hundreds of primitive sites, so finding somewhere to sleep can be done even...More

Get a campsite on the west side of the park...it's much more primitive and secluded with a excellent private view of the lake. If you're wanting more people around with real bathrooms, the east side of the park is more suitable. If you brought your...More

Everything I wanted in camping!! Beautiful lake, beautiful views! Easy access! "Cliffs" you can jump off! The most bare-able outside restrooms I've ever been in! I can't wait to go back!

Nice, large, private and primitive camp sites for tenting. Many on cliffs above Lake Travis. Don't have info on RV sites to share but the park is huge so there are many options.

Hey! I just went this weekend, and found a great campsite right on the water with a fire pit and perfect trees to hang hammocks on. As you enter the park take the first right and follow the road until you see the bathroom... More
