After I had difficulty in finding this I found a note on the door saying it was closed due to a lack of volunteers. I understand this but maybe there should be a way of informing people.

Interesting exhibits and still in the heart of downtown! Colored Trainmen of America Union began here. Display cases contain a variety of artifacts and memorabilia for the train enthusiast and it is right by the railroad tracks, so you can watch trains too. Restrooms open...More

Vistor center, public restroom, small train museum. Plenty of parking across the tracks. No charge for admission. The day went a city worker was present (her office was in the museum). She was very pleasant and answered all our questions.

This is a good location to begin a tour of Kingsville and the King Ranch. It is a historical site that is being utilized and has information beneficial to the tourist.
