We took the basic tour of the ranch and it exceeded our expectations. Saw cattle, javelina, sheep, goats, and a number of birds including caracara. Needless to say, they can't guarantee what animals will be out on any given day. Beautiful ranch! Our tour guide was very good and could answer almost all questions. I highly recommend visiting.

Took the 1.5 hr bus tour yesterday. The place is amazing... The guide was good but the tour just did not impress me. If your not going to let people off the bus to see what your talking about at least let the bus get close enough to see. For example, there is where they work the cows (200 yards... More

Our daily tour is only meant to be a 1.5 hour experience that does get out at our Weaver's Cottage, and the tour guide's will slow down at areas where you request for a photo opportunity. Our Special Interest Tour gets out quite often, come see us again and book a Special Interest tour as that sounds like the tour... More

The tour lasted a little less than an hour. Nothing was really going on in the areas we toured so we just drove in a big circle. We saw cattle and horses grazing. Guide was informative about the ranch but since nothing was happening we were disappointed. On the other hand the video at the welcome center was very good.... More

Thank you for coming to visit us. The circle you went on was actually a loop through our breeding division of the Ranch where you have the probability of seeing more cattle and quarter horses and ranch hands than any other section of the King Ranch in South Texas. Your tour should have lasted an hour and a half. Please... More

The slide show prior to the tour was very informative and gave a good overview of the history. The tour guide was knowledgeable as was able to answer any questions. Although it was disappointing not to see any actual ranch activities on this Friday in February, it was worth the trip when traveling from Corpus to South Padre. The Museum... More

Drove an hour plus during our stay in Corpus t9 see the iconic King Ranch and we left very disappointed. We our seniors so we got a break from of the online ticket price of $20. We paid $15 per person. We got in a van and drove around for a little over an hour and what did we see:... More

Thank you for your input. Don't think $4-5 would cover our costs of gas, and guide though. We appreciate your input and so sorry you were disappointed. Each time I get out on our tour route, I get to see some pretty amazing wildlife, cattle and quarter horses that I don't get to see in my everyday life. Each day... More

One of the largest ranches in the US. It was an amazing place in it's heyday. Really enjoyed the whole history from how the Captain started it all, to the world champion quarter horses raised, to the only American breed of cattle.. The Santa Gruditas... we really enjoyed our time and learning about the ranch. It still is a working... More

The King Ranch is a very historic ranch begun by Captain King in the mid-1800s. He put together many ranches, and today the ranch totals over 800,000 acres in four divisions. The ranch has done a marvelous service in improving the environment, improving all areas of animal husbandry, wild life conservation, and ranch management. The ranch was home to Assault,... More

We booked the two hour tour of the King Ranch. The tour was basic, with one stop at a loom, but there were no other stops...the ranch house was seen from the exterior only, all views were from from the bus, there was no opportunity (other than visit to loom) to explore despite there being several points of interest! The... More
