There are plenty of hiking trails available in the park. You can rent tubes at the park headquarters and tube down the river.

We arrived midmorning and found the place fairly empty. The park worker said only three tubes were rented out but people would pour in on Friday. We had a relaxing time in the river. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to make the float....More

Great river access and birding activities. Lots of wildlife. Not to far from town. Has a campground and several hiking trails.

We went to the park to satisfy one of my wife’s bucket list liter. To see a Painted Bunting. The trip was a success and more. This is a clean park with three well designed Bird Blinds. It is also a wild Turkey nesting place.

It was a wonderful birding trip and we loved all the birds and animals we saw even three armadillos The work put into this festival was phenomenal great lunches t shirts and souvenirs

Yes there are flat grounds snd even and even a fishing area that appears fairly shallow for kids Large day areas with lots of tables and grass under huge trees Visitors center has a hands on display area as well
