Description:

Garrison Brothers Distillery is Texas' first and oldest bourbon distillery....

Garrison Brothers Distillery is Texas' first and oldest bourbon distillery. Our bourbon is hand-made from corn to cork right here on our little ranch. Tours are Thursday through Sunday @ 10am, noon, 2pm & 4pm. We'll teach you the entire process on how great bourbon is made. You'll taste our sweet mash, sample our white dog & end your visit with a taste of our fine bourbon. We strongly encourage that you call ahead so we can place you on our tour schedule.

We visited in March 2017. I strongly recommend reserving ahead for the tour. The facility is beautiful, rustic, simple. The tour was really fun and informative. Garrison is the real deal-farm to bottle distillery that produces a great product sustainably. The tour is great even if you don't drink bourbon. If you do, you'll love it even more. This place... If you're looking for a day trip from Austin with a scenic drive through the TX Hill Country, look no further! With tours running hourly, you can take your time along the meandering highway and arrive at the distillery whenever you like. The distillery itself is beautifully situated on an enormous property that, this time of year, is brightly colored... More

We had seen this in a magazine article and decided to stop here instead of the wineries on our way from Austin to Fredericksberg. What a treat. You don't have to be a bourbon fan to enjoy this tour and a tour is a must so check out the times and days when they are given. It is off the... More

We booked this tour in advance and learned a lot about the distillery and the bourbon the team is passionate about. Their excitement made the tour fun for everyone. At $10.00 per person it's a great value. Regardless whether you drink bourbon or not it was an enlightening experience that I highly recommend.

We had a small group of 6 people including one couple from San Antonio who were there for the fifth time. Five times no one goes to anything five times. Look at my travels across America. Garrison Distillery explained every step including A - G of bourbon. Not going to tell you but it's worth the tour and that's in... More

Garrison Brothers was the 1st of 2 tours we took that day of local distilleries. The guys were extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. I learned so much at Garrison Brothers that the 2nd tour we took at another distillery was a complete let down and I kept comparing them with Garrison Brothers. There was no comparison though. I bought a... More

The people at Garrison Brothers are very friendly and know their stuff about what they make. The bourbon is outstanding for its youth. The bourbon ages at fantastic rate in the Texas heat. If you want to sit, drink, and talk they have an out door area in the shade of old growth trees.

Great whiskey! If you are passing through Hye (not hard as we usually hold our breath passing through on way to Austin) take a pit stop and visit these folks. They are making a great spirit! Easy tour plus free taste!

We made the one hour trip from Austin, TX to Hye to discover the first legal whiskey distillery in the state. The theme of our tour was "from corn to cork", and we could not have enjoyed it more. The entire staff is exceptional, and we learned a lot about how their bourbon was made along the way. My son... More
