Near "The Prison Museum" how can you pass up the F-16 fighter, M-60 Tank etc on display outside !! Inside great displays but what really makes it great are the veterans who volunteer at the museum with great stories of many events, equipment, shown in museum based on first hand accounts! Our's pointed out places and ships he served on... More

Very impressive for a museum in a small town. Amazing what the Vets have been able to accumulate from all branches of the military. Takes you from the Revolutionary war to present day conflicts. Plan to spend an hour or two to take it all in.

This museum is the only one in the country with exhibits covering all branches of US military from the Revolution to the current conflicts. Great experience for children.

I hate to write a negative review and it's really not so much negative but to just say that this museum was not interesting to us like we had hoped it would be. We love history. But the way this museum was laid out felt more like we were looking at a bunch of children's school projects and there was... More

Lots of memorabilia to see. Husband is a Viet Nam vet and he enjoyed it very much. Veterans on site to discuss and inform about the displays. Definitely worth a stop if you have any interest in the military and history of the USA.

While visiting Huntsville for SHSU Family Weekend, my daughter and I came across this museum. It is very well organized from the wars that helped begin this great country all the way to Afghanistan/Iraq. We found it because we were drawn to the helicopters and tanks outside after finishing at the Prison Museum. Once inside, we were pleasantly greeted, given... More

If you want to spend a rainy day in a terribly fascinating, well-done museum, look no further. This is it. This museum has so many veterans items it's mind-boggling. If you live history or the military, you need to mAke a stop.

I visit this museum about weekly and know the volunteers who work there on a personal basis. I also take folks to this museum when they come for a visit to Huntsville. The typical reaction of those who see it is "gosh, I never knew there was such a great museum like this in this area".
