This is a great place for a run, stroll, bike, or just a picnic. The redesign of the park is amazing! Though some may argue about the ecological effects of the design or even what happened to the countless homeless people that used the park...More

Nice, enjoyable pathway to walk, run, or bike. Many parts were wet and muddy but not to the point where you cant pass through. There's a skate park at one end and a bat viewing area at the other! Midway, there's a bridge that has...More

I use to enjoy driving by or walking along the trails, admiring the sculpture, enjoying the water flow, now the trash, silt, toilet paper residue, etc. has caused it to be avoided. Repair will take at least a year, the city inspectors were so backed...More

Perhaps the most beautiful part of Houston is this park, which extends from downtown west to River Oaks, the most expensive neighborhood in Houston. Two parkways, Allen Parkway and Memorial Drive, are on either side of the winding Buffalo Bayou, and thanks to vast earthworks...More

Wonderful, natural foot paths for individuals to walk, talk, and run. So close to the city and jet no feeling of a bustling city. Sad to see the devastation caused by flooding, how you all braved and are coming back to normal!

When visiting Buffalo Bayou Park, be sure to take a half-hour tour of the huge underground cistern that was built to store drinking water for the city of Houston. You access the cistern at the park's visitor center -- where you also can pick up...More

The Buffalo Bayou Park is an amazing walking, running, or bicycling trail. It runs along the Buffalo Bayou through downtown Houston and further on. But now it's better than ever. If you're lucky enough to walk through the park before all of the sand is...More

An awesome public park. So many incredible facilities/venues/grounds. We went for one of our grandson's friend's birthday party. Really spacious, lots of things for kids to play/do. Very nice by the bayou/river. You can go walking, jogging, cycling, etc. Well done to Houston for providing...More

Kim. There are a number of bike rental and drop off stations in the downtown area. You pay for bikes at a rack, and don't have to drop them off at the same rack! Since we live here, and prefer walking instead of cycling, we... More

Lots of parking space. It's not so large so you can park at any of them. Also, call the Park staff and they can give you more details.
