Founded in 1978, Stages Repertory Theatre is a not-for-profit professional theatre with two intimate performance spaces and deep roots in the Houston community. Stages produces year-round, performing a broad scope of new work, popular entertainment and re-imagined classics. Almost all of Stages shows are rehearsed and constructed on-site in Houston, brought to life by an exceptional community of locally-based artists and craftspeople along with occasional guest directors, actors and designers from around the world. With a mission to advance theatre and enliven community, Stages offers a greenhouse for new talent and ideas and a place for art, artists and audiences to thrive.

Saw the patsy cline story tonight. Very entertaining and a great atmosphere in the intimate theatre. Patsy and her "manager" were excellent and complemented each other perfectly. A lot of music, 26 songs if I counted right across both acts and s bit of fun...More

Intimate theater with good variety of productions. Talented actors. Great date night shows with close restaurants for pre-theater dinner. Parking close, convenient, and inexpensive. Just a fun evening.

The ambiance is cozy and the cast is always top flight. Add to that the wonderful selection of plays and you have a little gem in Houston for the arts!
