This is a great place to run or bike there's great lighting at night or early in the morning and great views. Additionally they have a dog park, a Lost Lake and also a skateboard park

These trails are awesome wide bike paths that run mostly parallel with a black top running trail. Additionally of you want to do the grassy hillier trails you can. This is one place I don't mind making a drive to run. Great job Houston!

I love this park, I am from Port Arthur. Every time I head to Houston I must go to this park. It is very picturesque with the skyline over looking it OMG!!

Twenty Five years ago Memorial Park was it--now it is the Allen Parkway loop. Sadly, the traffic by memorial park has increased, the trees have decreased, and some part of the trail is always either under water, or under reconstruction. Beatification project still ongoing and can see so many trees planted since the winter that will create awesome shade. Great place to run see link : http://www.buffalobayou.org/hikebike.

Houston has recently renovated this park with sidewalks for bikers, blacktop for runners and planted new trees and plants. Great job on giving it a new look. You can do a 5mile loop easily with nice rolling hills. If you take the trails through the grass then you get much more incline. I read some reviews about break ins...note to... More

such a lovely drive, especially in the spring. we drive the parkway and Memorial Drive as often as possible, just for the lovely views.

Allen Parkway runs along the famous Houston bayou, and is surrounded by lush greenery. They recently updated the sidewalks, so there is smooth pavement for jogging and bike riding. Perfect view of downtown is at Eleanor Tinsley Park. Awesome place to take pictures against the Houston skyline. If your into skateboarding, don't miss the skate park, Also have bat watching... I used to love this place, but now I dont feel safe running at Allen Parkway at all. Alot of break-ins, DONT leave valuables in your vehicle. My car was broken into this weekend in the bright day light along with TWO OTHERS...WTH??
