This place is quiet. It's silent. Go here to clear your mind, meditate, or just get some peace and quiet. Designed by Rothko, the interior also features paintings by the artist. And everything is grey. All religions and denominations are welcome.

Not for everyone's taste, and not requiring a very lengthy visit. But definitely worth a visit: the highlight of the entire Menil art scene.

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday. My Houstonian friend told me before hand...this place we were going...it welcomes all religions. It's a sanctuary of sorts. A place where 14 or so Rothko's hang, all black, and you could pray and meditate. He told me the...More
