Not too busy and great sunsets!

Grapevine lake is not too crowded, the lake is great for boating and watching sunsets. After all the rains 2 years ago, water is fine!

This lake by far is my favorite in DFW. It is a clean well kept lake. After the flood in 2015 it took a while for the water to recede. Now that the water is at a normal level they have repaired upgraded almost all facilities. There are plenty of places to hang out. If you like to fish they... More

You must visit this beautiful city, historical places, great scenarios for pictures. You'll feel transported to a different age.

As a family we are used to the size and clarity of lakes in Arkansas. We rented a party barge and went tubing with friends and family. The lake is pretty small so we could only make short runs and turning was pretty tight. It was not crowded when we went.

Wonderful walks for all the family on trails which curve around the shores of the lake. We went on a Sunday afternoon in late October, it was a popular spot with lots of walkers and mountain bikers, so the trails can get a bit crowded, but worth it for the lovely views of the lake and surrounding vegetation.

We went this weekend, you can go hiking or go biking. If anybody wants to, there's also mountain bike trails. But I think the best time to go is during fall and winter to prevent the unwelcoming smells of the artificial lake.

I love this lake. It is small but not very busy. The only draw back is that all of the parks are not open yet from the flooding. We jet ski and launch from Katy Woods that is a city park and only $5 to launch. You can access all park beaches from inside the lake.

Just started paddle boarding. Now I am addicted. Easy to do and you do not have to be a world class athlete. Dfw surf also offers kayaking and biking. They also have special membership plans , yoga and a camping club to boot. Cody and Tyler have a great and very knowledgable staff. They always make you feel welcome and... More
