Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had no idea this even existed until my uber taxi driver passed it and gave me a brief summary of it.
I was scheduled to see the 9/11 Museum and the WTC Tour in Manhattan 2 weeks after my Texas trip, so seemed a good idea to absorb some sobering information over flight crew victims who are generally overlooked.
The driver took a U-turn and we spent 20 minutes admiring this immaculately maintained monument.
Texas have done these brave souls proud with such a dedicated piece of work.
Not a "tourist attraction" in the sense of the word, but certainly worth a visit to pay your own personal respects.

I am a retired airline flight crew member and Federal Flight Deck Officer/ Crew member. The recognition and symbology represented by the Flight Crew Memorial are most sacred to the sacrifices made by so many on that fateful day. May they always symbolize the American Spirit and never be forgotten.

It’s beautifully sculpted, tastefully done and worth a short drive out of the way. I would give it a five if the location was more conducive to quiet reflection. It’s between a busy intersection and a restaurant parking lot but in a nice area. We stopped her and ate nearby.

Several statutes honoring those evolved in 9/11. There are also pieces of the World Trade Center and pentagon. Enjoyed reading the plaques about the meaning behind the statues. It is however kind of out of the way.

Stopped to see 9/11 memorial while attending convention at Gaylord Texan a short distance away. I'm not sure why it's on an intersection in Grapevine other than the DFW airport is nearby. Anyway, I don't like scuplture that is all symbol and no realism. This installation has a nice balance of both elements. We do not see dead pilots or hijackers brandishing knives, but the slightly larger than life flight attendants and the young girl, while reprensentative of all aboard the fatal flights, are still recognizably human. We know they couldn't completely stop the tragedy, as the pieces from the Pentagon and the world trade center make uncomfortably clear, but they did the best they could to the very end. This is symbolized by the female flight attendant holding her hand up in a stop signal and shielding the young girl behind her. Police and firefighter memorials are located around the ouside ring of the larger sculpture. Later in the week I had a long layover in New York and was able to visit the world trade center memorial which brought this all home again. It was not the first attack on American soil (Pancho Vila raided Columbus NM, the Germans tried to destroy the statue of liberty in WW I which is why the torch was replaced and you can no longer go up it) but it was deadliest

I made sure to stop here while we were in Grapevine as I was a Senior in high school on 9/11. It was humbling to say the least and the highlight of my trip. They did an outstanding job honoring all the flight crew and first responders who gave their lives. Seeing a piece of the towers and pieces of the Pentagon and Penn crashsite for myself made it even more real.

The girls who were with me walked around and asked questions about what happened. Everyone learned something new that day.

Kudos to all who made this memorial possible. If you are in the area, you should stop by for yourself.

My father in law being retired firefighter my husband likes any/all memorials dedicated to 9/11. This is a very nice memorial. We went early around 7am to check it out before heading down the street to the DFW founders plaza to watch the planes. This is easy to get to and worth stopping by to see in person

Passed by the memorial several times, from difference directions. Not sure but assume you can park behind it and walk over, as it is by the freeway.

When we have out of state visitors, we take them to Grapevine and this is one of the stops we make. I recently flew into DFW and this memorial can be seen when approaching DFW (as I think it was planned). It is well worth the quick stop.

South of Hwy 114 just a few minutes from downtown Grapevine.
Great view of airliners taking off and landing. Good parking with loud speakers for listening to the Tower. We take visitors here, too. Young and old will like it. Not too loud.
